Access IT Project Manager Receives APICS Certification

MELVILLE, NY - March 8, 2004 – Robert Rositano, Project Manager at Access IT (Melville, NY) has earned his certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS, The Educational Society for Resource Management. Candidates must pass a series of rigorous exams dealing with production and inventory controls to earn certification. Topics include demand management, procurement and supplier planning, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, supplier relationships, quality control, and continuous improvement. Bob believes that his APICS’ training will make him more effective when dealing with the wide variety of manufacturing and distribution clients he sees as a software implementation consultant.

Bob’s management skills coupled with his years of experience make him an invaluable member of Access IT’s implementation team. In 2003 Bob lead the implementation of Microsoft Navision at Topaz Lighting Corp. Tim Gomes, CEO of Topaz Lighting Corp stated, “What a pleasure to work with Bob! He has made a complicated implementation relatively painless. It’s rare to be able to find someone whose vast computer skills are matched by his people skills. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend him as a project manager for another client’s complex implementation.”

Bob has a Masters in Business Administration and over 20 years experience in senior level IT management positions working in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Bob’s breath of knowledge and experience include training Total Quality Management (TQM) as well as implementing and training MRP and CRP modules for large companies like Kraft Foods. He is certified as a Microsoft Navision® Consultant in Manufacturing and is an active member of the Long Island Chapter of APICS.
